Instructions on filling out the application 
Fill out the application as accurately as possible. An application can be refused in case of its insufficiency or if the information provided is inaccurate. By sending in an application, Byggingafélag Námsmanna is allowed to verify all the information provided. 

All fields marked with a * must be filled in.
If you don´t have SSN you put in 9999999999 instead and get temporary username. 

Select New applicant, Continued rental or Request for transfer.

Please note that only couples with children can apply for family apartment. All other applications for family apartment will de rejected.

Specify the beginning of present study. 
Specify estimated end of present study. 
Specify faculty. 
Specify course of study. 

If applying for couples apartment or family apartment, please provide information on spouse's name, id-number, school, course of study, beginning and end of study. Please mark if spouse is a student or working. 
Specify child/children´s name(s) in the first box(es) and birthday(s) in the second. 

Specify an ideal move-in date. 

Providing family's and/or friend's phone number(s) can be helpful. 
An accurate and active e-mail address is essential. All anouncements from Byggingafélag Námsmanna are e-mailed. Applicants are informed of assignments by e-mail. 
Any other information the applicant thinks is important for his or hers application process can be written here.  Regarding family situation, housing or other matters.

The applicant can prioritize his or hers choice of housing.  Couples apartments are only available for couples in which both partners are attending the University.

Username and password is sent by email at the end of the application process. It can be used by the applicant both for status observation on the housing waiting list as well as a confirmation tool. An applicant will be removed from the waiting list if the application is not confirmed with the reference number between the 1st and 5th of every month.
It is important that the email address provided is checked on a day to day basis.  Applicants are given 3 days to accept or decline a housing offer. After those 3 days the offer will expire. If an applicant declines a housing offer 3 times he or she will no longer have a place on the waiting list.
